Jetman First Public Air Show
Here, Yves Rossy (aka Jetman), takes to the sky over New Jersey in his first public flight. Is it just me, or is this guy a total hero! This is what dreams are made of!!!!
In 2006, Swiss pilot Yves Rossy became the first and only man in the history of aviation to fly with a jet-propelled wing. He flies, not within an enclosed space with mechanical controls and instruments, but by truly flying like a bird. With just an altimeter for safety, and a tiny throttle control in his hand, he soars using only his body and senses. Like the wing on his back is part of his own body.
