Farmville, with over 75 million players each month, is one of the most successful games ever played on Facebook. Mafia Wars, YoVille, and Vampires, are some of the others. Even if you’ve managed to refrain from joining up and participating in these games yourself; if your friends are addicts, their activities and updates will start clogging up your newsfeeds.

I dont know about you, but I really dont care that Laurie found a lonely pink cow on her farm, or that Holly needs help fertilizing her crops!

So how do you stop this insanity? Luckily, it’s pretty simple.

1. Login to Facebook and head on over to your Facebook newsfeed
2. Now, find yourself a nice piece of Famville spam that you want to get rid of.
3. Hover your mouse over that message until you see a grey “X” in the upper right hand corner
4. Now click on that X
5. You’ll be presented with 4 options
6. Click on the Hide Farmville button

When the page refreshes, all your Farmville updates and spam will be gone! Once you block a game, it no longer appears in any of your friends posts. Isn’t that awesome?!
